Andrew Miller was great in relief and catcher Josh Bard hit 2 doubles and had
2 RBI at the ballpark as the California Gangsta Luv beat the St. Paul Saints
by the count of 8 to 5.
 
California scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning when they had 7 base
hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Lastings Milledge who brought a
roar from the partisan the ballpark fans when he doubled bringing in two
baserunners.  California had 16 hits overall, while St. Paul had 13.  
 
Joel Pineiro(3-2) went 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Miller recorded the save, his 3rd.  Jason Marquis(9-13) was charged with the
loss.  He was unable to control the California offense and allowed 9 hits and
4 walks in 5 innings.
